8th Grade Check-out June 2nd

Using the guidelines outlined by the Los Angeles County Office of Education and the LA County Health Department, Hutchinson Middle School will collect iPads, books, instruments, and any other school-owned supplies on Tuesday, June 2 for 8TH GRADE STUDENTS ONLY. Also, at this time, Hutchinson
Middle School will distribute Promotion Certificates and other awards students have earned this year. Unfortunately, yearbook delivery is delayed – these will be distributed at the beginning of the 20-21 school year.

Communication on Grading - COVID19

Dear NLMUSD Community,
As a reminder, all our schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This decision is in alignment with all public school districts in Los Angeles County.
Considering this pandemic and the limitations associated with distance learning, after consultation with our principals, teachers’ union, instructional leads, and district administration, we have decided to transition to a temporary grading policy for the second semester of 2019-2020. Schoology Connection Issue Trouble-Shooting

We apologize when you have difficulty connecting with Schoology. Schoology has been experiencing lots of performance issues due to the high volume of staff and students connecting throughout the District and the nation. This demand is heaviest at the beginning of the day 8:00 am - 9:00 am.

When this occurs:
1. Turn off the device
2. Your student can work on iReady for Language Arts or Math, complete a PE fitness activity or read a book for 20-30 minutes.
3. Turn the device back on and try logging in again.

Our teachers are being flexible as they know our students are experiencing these issues. We thank you for your partnership in supporting our students' continued learning during this time!
