Mark Your Calendar!! Summer Orientation!!

Orientation Dates:
**6th grade Monday, 8/9 from 9 am - 11 am. iPad device swap from 11 am - 12 pm for those incoming 6th graders who didn’t swap their elementary iPad for their middle school iPad at the end of 5th grade.

**7th grade Friday, 8/6 from 9 am - 11 am.

**8th grade Monday, 8/9 from 12 pm - 2 pm.

***Monday, 8/9/21 from 11 AM to 12 PM iPad device swap for all new 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who are brand new to NLMUSD and for those incoming 6th graders who didn’t swap their NLMUSD elementary iPad for their middle school iPad at the end of 5th grade.

Legislative Update: AB104 Information

On Thursday, July 1, 2021, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 into law, and we’d like to provide you with important information on how this legislation may relate to your student. The bill contained three major provisions: retention, grading, and graduation policies. Please click on the news article to read more.

Awards Distribution, Picture Pick-up, and Textbook Drop-off

Hutchinson will be distributing awards and school pictures next week. Please make note of the schedule based on cohort/group. There will also be a limited amount of 20-21 yearbooks for sale along with 6th grade shirts and last year's 19-20 yearbook. This will also be your opportunity to turn in your textbooks and instruments!! 8th GRADE - MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP YOUR AWARDS ENEVELOPE, IF YOU EARNED AN ACADEMIC CORD, YOU WILL WEAR IT AT PROMOTION.

20-21 YEARBOOK!!

The 20-21 Yearbook Pre-sale is now over. However, we will have a limited quantity of yearbooks for sale in the office starting the week of May 24th.

8th Grade In-person Promotion *UPDATE*

We are excited to announce that Hutchinson will host an in-person promotion for our 8th grade students on Tuesday, June 1st at 11:00 AM. Each student is permitted to bring two guests, please arrive together at the gates. COVID screening questions and temperature checks will take place at the front gate and the 60 wing gate on Alicante. Masks are required at all times and 6 ft. social distancing will be in place. Minimum Days

Friday, May 28th, Tuesday, June 1st, and Wednesday, June 2nd are minimum days for students. All three days are distance learning, no on campus classes. Wednesday, June 2nd is the last day of school!
